LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar has approved the Provincial Motor Vehicle Ordinance 1965 act today.
Usman Buzdar took the step in a cabinet meeting he chaired at CM’s House in Lahore, where after this amendment, app-based ride-hailing companies would be regulated.
Provincial ministers, chief secretary advisers, special assistants and secretaries of departments concerned attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the fare of Lahore Orange Line Metro Train was decided. Providing the government a land for the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme was also discussed.
The cabinet during the meeting also decided to secure the implementation of a one-dish menu in the banquets and time restriction policy should be implemented across Punjab.
Moreover, the cabinet tabled the approval of the draft bill of the Factories Amendment Act 2019 and ordered for re-submitting the reformulated bill.
