Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba to star in Netflix’s ‘Extraction 3’

Chris Hemsworth is set to return for Extraction 3 along with Idris Elba and Golshifteh Farahani for the next installment of Netflix-AGBO action-franchise with production confirmed to begin in Summer 2026.

Filming for the upcoming movie is set to run from June 1 to October 9, 2026, with the primary shoot taking place in Sydney, Australia, and additional scenes planned across several European locations.

Netflix has yet to announce an official release date, but the film is expected to premiere in 2027 after post-production is complete.

Details about the plot remain tightly under wraps, though the story is anticipated to pick up from the cliffhanger of Extraction 2, in which Tyler and Nik were freed from prison by Alcott to carry out a mission for his mysterious employer.

Idris Elba as Alcott (the “Man in the Suit” introduced in the sequel).

Golshifteh Farahani as Nik Khan, Rake’s trusted partner.

David Weil (Citadel) is penning the screenplay, taking over from Joe Russo, who wrote the previous two films.
