BEIJING: Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud over the phone on Tuesday.
According to Chinese media reports, President Xi Jinping during the conversation said that China was willing to work with Saudi Arabia to advance the China-Arab community with shared future.

He said “the recent successful dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Iran in Beijing helped improve bilateral relations between the two countries, which will strengthen regional solidarity and ease the tensions in the region. China will further support the process.”
According to Arab media reports, both leaders stressed the importance of the strategic relations between the two countries.Arab media reports also said that President Xi Jinping praised Saudi Arabia’s role in supporting the development of China’s relations with members of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and other countries of the Middle East.
The China-Saudi Arabia relationship has grown stronger in recent years, with both countries working closely on issues such as energy cooperation, infrastructure development, and regional security. Saudi Arabia is one of China’s top trading partners, and the two countries have deepened their economic ties through the Belt and Road Initiative.
