ChatGPT has added a new “Scheduled” feature that lets users schedule tasks, a function more commonly found in messaging apps.
According to the company, the benefit of a scheduling feature in an AI chatbot is not yet clear. But OpenAI has introduced the feature called “Scheduled” in ChatGPT.
For this, a new section named “Scheduled” has been added in the left sidebar of ChatGPT. On the shortcut to the Scheduled page in the sidebar, users can see if there is any active task they have assigned to ChatGPT.
On the same page, users will be able to edit, delete or pause existing requests.
The company said that tasks for scheduled prompts will be faster and more reliable.
Similarly, when users ask the chatbot to do something in the coming days, they can instruct it to complete the task at a specific time or within a specific time frame. It can also be used for monitoring tasks.
OpenAI said the feature is being introduced for paying monthly subscribers. The company did not clarify whether it will be offered to free users.
