KARACHI: Supplies of freight remained suspended throughout the country on Thursday as the strike by freight transporters continued on the fourth consecutive day.
A spokesman for the protesting goods transporters, Imdad Hussain Naqvi said that no one from the federal government has yet contacted them to address or resolve their concerns.

He said the cargo supply planned for export from Karachi ports and Bin Qasim ports was halted due to the strike, he said the supply of imported goods, including manufacturing and construction equipment, was also stopped.
On January 7, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail met with transporter representatives to bring them round to call off their strike, cargo supplies across the country came to a halt on Monday as freight transporters suspended their operations in protest at heavy fines.
