ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Law Farogh Naseem will summon a subcommittee of the federal cabinet today to discuss the matter of removing the name of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz from the Exit Control List (ECL).
The Lahore High Court transmitted pleas of Maryam Nawaz in which she has sought the removal of her name from the ECL to the government’s review committee and directed the committee to decide over her request within 7 days. A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) headed by Justice Ali Baqir Najfi heard the plea.
On 6th November, Maryam was released on bail after her surety bonds and passport were submitted in the LHC. She was granted bail in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case by the LHC on 4th November.
