MUMBAI: Bollywood renowned songwriter Javed Akhtar has declared Indian premier Narendra Modi was a fascist.
In an interview with an international channel, the prominent songwriter criticised the actions of the ruling Indian government and premier Modi by saying that fascists peoples have no horns on heads, fascists are a thing.
Javed Akhtar is one of the Bollywood icons who have opposed the Indian ruling government. Earlier, during a protest in India, he said that it was ridiculous to call Faiz’s poem anti-Hindu. Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s poem was against the restrictions on freedom of expression, he added.
