Bilawal Zardari praises IHC for granting bail to his father Zardari

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has praised the Islamabad High Court (IHC) judges for granting bail to his father Asif Ali Zardari on medical grounds.
Speaking to reporters, Bilawal thanked the masses for their prayers for ailing former president Zardari. He said that Zardari would go through the required treatment as per the medical report.
“If the government thinks that they can pressurise us with these tactics then it is mistaken. I want to tell them that the prayers of this country’s poor people carry a lot of power.
“President Zardari will receive medical treatment and then, you all know that he is a hunter. He will come out to hunt the player,” Bilawal told supporters.
Bilawal appeared confident that his party will be in position to form government next year. “I am giving a political statement; this will be the last year of this government,” he declared.
Earlier today, the IHC granted Zardari bail on the medical grounds in the fake bank accounts case and ordered to submit surety bonds worth Rs 10 million.

Zardari, in his petition, stated that he was suffering from a heart ailment and three stents were already placed in his body. His medical reports were also attached to his petition.
The IHC directed the PIMS hospital to constitute a new medical board to examine the health condition of former president and adjourned the hearing.
Zardari is facing charges of money laundering and has been undergoing treatment at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Islamabad. He was arrested on June 10 after the cancellation of his pre-arrest bail in the fake bank accounts case.
He was shifted to PIMS in October after the medical board stated that he was suffering from cardiac problems, diabetes and other ailments, and needed medical care.
