Pakistani actress Ayesha Omar has once again set social media abuzz. From Istanbul, she shared new photos of herself in a bold printed outfit on Instagram, posting them with a humorous caption.

This comes at a time when her upcoming digital reality show “Lazawal Ishq” (Eternal Love) is embroiled in controversy. The teaser, released earlier this week, has sparked heated debates on social media, with calls for a boycott and demands for regulatory intervention.

In response, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) clarified that since the show will not be broadcast on television channels but only on digital platforms, it does not fall under PEMRA’s jurisdiction.

According to the teaser, “Lazawal Ishq” will feature eight participants (four men and four women) living together in a luxurious villa in Turkey, with their daily lives filmed. Ayesha Omar will host the show, appearing in Western attire at various Turkish locations.

The project is modeled after international reality formats such as Love Island and Too Hot to Handle, and is inspired by the popular Turkish program “Ishq Udaasi.” It is being billed as Pakistan’s first-ever dating competition reality show, with around 100 episodes planned.

While supporters describe it as a groundbreaking experiment, critics argue the program goes against Pakistani values and social traditions.

As a result, boycott campaigns are gaining traction on social media, though some viewers are excited to see whether this experiment will succeed locally.
