ISLAMABAD: The joint opposition has decided to postpone the anti-government rally in the federal capital due to the train incident.
It was a joint decision made by senior leaders of political parties who were about to address the anti-government Azadi march.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Ahsan Iqbal said that the rally has been delayed due to train incident which claimed over 70 lives in Rahim Yar Khan on Thursday.
Iqbal said it has been collectively decided by the opposition’s Rahbar Committee to hold the rally today.

PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb also confirmed that the rally has been postponed.
Earlier on Thursday, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that confusion was being created on media about the march.

He said, “Let me make it clear to everyone, that this is march and march includes sit-in and rally both.”
The motive of the anti-government march is to de-seat Prime Minister Imran Khan by marching to Islamabad.
