Islamabad: Saudi Arabia’s Assistant Defense Minister, Major General Talal Bin Abdullah Al-Etibi, has also arrived in Islamabad as part of his tour of Pakistan.
Upon his arrival in Pakistan, Talal Bin Abdullah Al-Etibi received a warm welcome. Discussions will be held to strengthen defense relationships between the two countries.
During his visit, Saudi Assistant Defense Minister Talal Bin Abdullah Al-Etibi is scheduled to meet with Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir. The meeting will cover various defense matters, including Pak-Saudi defense training.
It should be noted that a high-level Saudi delegation, led by Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, is already in Pakistan. The delegation has held key meetings with the President, Prime Minister, Army Chief, and other officials of Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that the visit of the Saudi high-level delegation will usher in a new era of very close cooperation in the coming months. He expressed hope that multi-billion dollar agreements would be signed between the two sides, and it is likely that Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman will visit Pakistan to grace the occasion.
