A distressing incident has emerged in Okara, Punjab, where a female domestic worker has reportedly been abducted and raped by her employer.
According to a report by a private TV channel on Friday, the victim, in her statement, alleged that the accused, identified as Arsalan, not only kidnapped her but also subjected her to alleged sexual assault, accompanied by a friend, over a harrowing period of three days.
The victim’s family members revealed that their daughter had been employed as a domestic worker at Arsalan’s residence for the past three years. The case came to light when the victim’s mother filed a complaint with the Gojira police station, leading to the registration of a case against unknown individuals related to the missing girl. Subsequently, with the victim’s statement, the accused, Arsalan, has now been named in the case.
However, it has been reported that Arsalan managed to secure a pre-arrest bail in connection with the case, raising concerns about the pursuit of justice. Responding to the gravity of the situation, DPO Mansoor Aman has taken note of the case and issued a notice. The notice directs the SP investigation officer to conduct a thorough inquiry into the matter, ensuring a comprehensive investigation to bring clarity to the allegations and to address the concerns raised by the victim and her family.
