ISLAMABAD: The medical report released by the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has proved false the allegations of poisoning former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi in Bani Gala Sub Jail.
A report compiled by a team of four senior lady doctors declared Bushra Bibi fine. According to the medical report, Bushra Bibi had complained of deterioration of health after eating food about two and a half months ago. She complained of heartburn, swollen lips, watery eyes, and dry skin.
Despite the initial discomfort, all reported symptoms resolved quickly, but she continued to experience abdominal and mouth discomfort for several weeks in addition to ear blockage and weight loss.
According to the report, no abnormal changes were found in Bushra Bibi’s vital signs including heart rate, pulse, blood pressure, and weight.
Bushra Bibi was examined by four senior female doctors at Bani Gala Sub Jail. According to their report, the medical examination did not reveal anything that Bushra Bibi had complained about. The team of doctors has prescribed some medicines for the next 14 days.
The report also stated that Bushra Bibi’s eyes were not examined as she did not allow it. The findings of the medical team found no evidence to substantiate the allegations of slow poisoning by some members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership.
