Controversial Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah recently took to Instagram to speak out about the current state of the entertainment industry, highlighting what she described as “fake policies” that some celebrities exploit to secure work.
Shah criticized the use of personal favors and “parchis” (recommendations or connections) by fellow actors to land roles. Reaffirming her stance, she stated that she has never relied on unethical means to advance her career and is simply focused on living her own life.

Alizeh raised her concerns regarding unethical practices in the entertainment industry, claiming she has never compromised her self-respect to secure roles.
Alizeh wrote, “Oh, the perks of being professional in this industry… dinners without projects and of course the sacred ‘closed-door rituals. Say no, and suddenly you are ‘batameez’, ‘difficult’, and ‘not serious about your career’. Well, thank god I missed the memo on selling self-respect as part of the PR package.
“If that’s the price of being a celebrity, I am more than happy staying just human.”
