The news of Najam Sethi’s son singer Ali Sethi’s alleged gay marriage with one of his friends Salman Toor is a hot topic on social media. This news was also included in the trends of Twitter in Pakistan.

It should be noted that singer Ali Sethi is the son of senior journalist, anchor Najam Sethi. Ali Sethi is said to have graduated from Howard University with a major in South Asian Studies. However, in the last few years Ali Sethi came to singing and music, and one of his songs Pasoori has gained worldwide fame, this song has been sung not only by Bollywood but also by many Hollywood artists.

Toor is said to be in his forties, lives in New York, and paints, his paintings are said to depict the lifestyle of South Asian families.

Indian magazine India Today and some other sites have claimed that Toor and Sethi have been close friends for many years and have a very close relationship. Toor also created more than one painting of Ali Sethi. According to social media sites, they first met nineteen years ago in London, a few years ago when they met again, this scene was depicted by Toor in one of his paintings in the form of two young people hugging each other.

In an interview with The New Yorker magazine last year, Toor said that his “gay identity” was not recognized by his parents, even though he had told them at the age of 15. However, according to Toor, now his parents have accepted this fact. In the same interview, he had told that a lover has come into his life.

India Today has said that if this marriage news is true, it will be the first open gay marriage of any Pakistani showbiz celebrity.

Now none of the parties (it is not known who should be called husband and who should be called wife) has confirmed this marriage. However, since this morning, it has been trending on social media, with numerous tweets on Twitter.

Before writing this article, I checked Ali Sethi’s Twitter handle and although there was a tweet by Ali Sethi six hours ago, he did not deny the marriage. Although, as much as the noise has been made, if such an incident had not happened, it would have definitely been denied, a one-line tweet was enough for it. Najam Sethi’s last tweet is also two days old. All this reinforces this sad news. It is true that the heart is saddened by such news. We do not understand how they do this.

I think that Najam Sethi and his wife Jaganu Mohsin will also be sad from the inside. Every parent wants their son to get married, daughter-in-law to come home, have children and their family to flourish.

I don’t think that Najam Sethi or his wife would want their son to have an unnatural relationship and make it look like a regular marriage.

The problem is that the liberalism which they advocate and propagandize prevents them from interfering in the affairs of their children.

The simple principle of liberalism is that you cannot interfere in someone’s personal affairs, he should have the right to do what he wants to do, to live according to his choice and thoughts.

This is our main difference with liberalism. People of religion, and obviously when we are talking in the context of Pakistan, we mean Muslims, Muslims believe that they should follow the orders and methods given by Allah and his last Messenger ﷺ rather than their own will and philosophies, and ideas.

So, the basic decision has to make is that: You have to follow the world God made and the ways he has told you, or you have to follow the man-made world and its preferred ways and rules. A religious person, even if he is not a very good practicing Muslim in ordinary life, would not like to deviate from these basic concepts.

The rest are all childish and useless things that such and such is the instinct of such and such. It was in his nature and instinct to have sex with people of his own sex, so he did so, etc.

This is all wrong. This is unnatural attachment and unnatural desire. It is treated with psychotherapy and, if necessary, with hormone therapy.

It is not adopting a lifestyle of your choice or adopting any other gender, but behind it are actually morbid sexual desires. It should be corrected, not encouraged.

There are many things in the human instinct, the desire to get everything, the greed to possess everything, blind profiteering, drowning in the pleasures of life, etc. We, humans, try to control these flaws, to groom ourselves. We control our greed, selfishness, meanness, inferiority, etc.

In every era of human history, there have been some such vices, some people have been attracted to forbidden things, and they have been discouraged. Physical relationship with “mahram”, unnatural physical relationship, and pathological sexual love in the same sex. All of these are false and have been denied, blocked, and barred in every period of five to seven thousand years of known human history.

Unfortunately, in the last ten to fifteen years, efforts are being made to break all these barriers. The Western forces who invaded and conquered the Indian society, have this problem why the Pakistani society or some other Muslim countries and poor backward African countries are resisting it? We all have to condemn it unconditionally, stop this invasion.

Gay marriage is legally a crime in Pakistan. If Ali Sethi’s unnatural marriage is confirmed, he will be a criminal punishable under Pakistani law. Our society has already rejected this kind of myth and sickest behavior.

Our class of liberals should think about where their liberalism is leading their children. If this continues their next generations will be destroyed.
