ISLAMABAD: ISLAMABAD: National Security Advisor Moeed Yusuf has said that the federal government’s agreement with the banned party cannot be termed as defeat while the job of the state is to save the lives of the citizens.
Speaking on a private TV program, the National Security Adviser said that no one could stand in front of the state. State functioning has been challenged many times in the past.
Speaking on the occasion, the National Security Adviser said that it was not uncommon for policemen to be martyred for no reason. Pakistan is the only Muslim state that fully highlights the issue of Islamophobia globally, he maintained.
During the conversation, Dr. Moeed Yusuf said that the job of the state is to save the lives of all citizens by walking together, therefore the agreement cannot be termed as a defeat. Security policy will be formulated by consensus, he asserted.
National Security Adviser Moeed Yusuf said the recent protests and law and order situation could be described as a failure of the local administration. It would have been better if the issues had been resolved without the testimony of the police.
Dr. Moeed Yusuf said that the banned TLP came for the seventh time but it was agreed not to shoot. There is a need for a permanent solution to the problems. If the court releases the TLP chief, the prime minister will not object, Yusuf maintained.
Dr. Moeed Yusuf said there were laws on illegal funding. The United States has repeatedly said that we have no concerns about Pakistan. The country’s policies towards coronavirus have been praised around the world, he added.
