Afghan militant shelling kills seven members of same family in Pakistan

KHAR: Seven members of a family were killed when a mortar shell fired from Afghanistan hit a house in a border village in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Sunday.
Senior police official Gulzar Khan said the mortar fired from Afghanistan hit the house of man, Fazal Ghani. As a result, He along with his wife and five other members of the family died on spot.
He said the incident took place in Batwaar Bangor village, some 50 kilometers from Khar in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The police official added soon after the incident, police and rescue officials reached the spot and helped the villagers retrieve dead bodies.
