RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (Punjab) has raided the residence of senior Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Chaudhry Tanveer but authorities failed to arrest him.
According to details, the Anti-Corruption Punjab team reached the house of Chaudhry Tanveer yesterday to arrest him, however, in the absence of the PML-N leader, the Anti-Corruption Department team continued to search various rooms.
A few days ago, Chaudhry Tanveer returned home from abroad after attending his son’s wedding. Anti-Corruption Punjab said that Chaudhry Tanveer has illegally occupied government land and committed fraud.
Punjab Anti-Corruption Department has registered a case against him for illegal possession. Anti-corruption investigators want to investigate Chaudhry Tanveer on charges of illegal possession and fraud, but no arrests have been made.

It may be recalled that the officers and employees of Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) were terrified during the raid against the government officials responsible for the construction of the Nasla Tower.
On December 29 last year, the police raided the office of the Building Control Authority and questioned the officers concerned in connection with a case registered in connection with the Nasla Tower, a high-rise building constructed in Karachi.
