Bollywood actress Kajol turns 51 today.
With a calm and commanding screen presence, Kajol has been among Indian film’s most popular actresses for over thirty years.
Married to fellow Bollywood star Ajay Devgn, she made her debut in 1992 with Bekhudi and has since delivered some of the most memorable performances in Hindi film history. With an estimated net worth of USD 30 million (approximately ₹ 249 crore), Kajol resides in a luxurious ₹60 crore bungalow named “Shiv Shakti” in Mumbai’s Juhu neighbourhood, where she lives with her husband and their children, Nysa and Yug.
Throughout her successful career, Kajol has acted in a number of milestone films. One of her most celebrated roles is Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), one of Bollywood’s most enduring romances, in which she played the feisty Simran opposite Shah Rukh Khan.

Another highlight role was in My Name Is Khan (2010), a socially provocative drama directed by Karan Johar, when she was cast as the wife of a Muslim immigrant with Asperger’s syndrome, played by Shah Rukh Khan, making a living in post-9/11 America.

In Baazigar (1993), Kajol received her first major box office hit in the form of a tense revenge thriller.

She then starred in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), a much-loved romantic drama on friendship, first love and second chances, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), a family saga based on love transcending class divisions.

Off-screen, Kajol is a connoisseur when it comes to cars, opting for understated luxury over showy sport models. Her stable boasts a BMW X7 (₹ 1.6 crore), BMW i7 (₹ 2.2 crore), BMW X7 M Sport (₹ 1.55 crore), Volvo XC90 (₹ 87.9 lakh), and Audi Q7 (₹ 80.7 lakh) — a collection that mirrors her refined yet sensibly practical persona.
