LAHORE: An accountability court has extended the judicial remand of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz until 1st December in the Ramazan Sugar Mills case.

Duty Judge Asad Ali conducted the hearing and directed the provincial home secretary and the SP Headquarters to appear in court at the next hearing.

Moreover, PML-N President and father of Hamza Shehbaz, Shehbaz Sharif, who is also named in this case, did not appear as he has been given exemption from personal appearance.

While talking to the media outside the court, Hamza Shehbaz said that the government ought to focus on resolving public issues instead of settling scores with opposition parties.

Criticising the incumbent government, he said that food inflation and unemployment are the ruling government’s gifts to the citizens.

Moreover, Shehbaz Sharif was shifted to a hospital due to worsening health issues on Monday . He was rushed to General Hospital in Lahore in an armored vehicle.

The opposition leader has been shifted to the hospital due to chest pain. A CT scan of his chest will be done at the hospital. It may be recalled that last week the accountability court had indicted Shehbaz Sharif and other co-accused in the money laundering case.
