KARACHI: Police foiled a robbery attempt in Mehmoodabad area and arrested one suspect.
Baloch Colony police station conducted a raid in Ashraf Colony of Mehmoodabad No. 6 after receiving a tip-off that four gangsters have entered the area to conduct a robbery.
Police promptly reached the site of the incident and foiled the robbery attempt. However, police only managed to arrest one suspect while the others managed to escape from the back alley.
The arrested suspect was identified as Arif. Police have recovered an unlicenced pistol from his possession. The suspect was an absconding criminal and was wanted in other cases.
A case has been lodged against him while further investigation is underway. A team has been formed to arrest his accomplice involved in the robbery attempt.
