SHIEKHUPURA: A woman and three children belonging to the family of rickshaw driver have electrocuted to death in Sheikhupura.
The incident took place in Tariq Road area at the residence of Asad Ali who is a rickshaw driver. The victims include a 55-year-old woman Iqbal Bibi and three children named Abdur Rehman, aged 10, Abdul Manan, aged 7, and Mateeh-ur-Rehman, aged 5.
The parents of the deceased children were not at home when the incident occurred and had gone to the market. All the victims were electrocuted from a pedestal fan and died on the spot.
The children’s father Asad Ali said when he came home, he saw a pedestal fan had fallen on his mother and three children. Rescue officials have shifted the bodies to a morgue for further investigation.
