KARACHI: Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani has announced to change the academic calendar of schools in Sindh due to Coronavirus.
While addressing a press conference today, Saeed Ghani said that the Sindh government has changed the calendar of School’s classes and exams due to the rising cases of the virus across the province.
According to the education minister, the new year of schools will begin from 1st June and the examinations from grade 1st to 8th will be held in the same month from 1st to 15th.
Moreover, the exams of 9th and 10th grade will be held from 15th June and the matriculation’s results will be announced on 15th August, he said.
Talking about the new year of intermediate, Ghani said that it would begin from August this year.
The exams of intermediate will be held from 6th July and the result of the examinations would be declared on 15th September, he added.
He further said that he would discuss the plan of schools re-opening from 1st April with federal and other provinces and convince them to extend the holidays till 30th May.
He also hoped that the ongoing situation of the country due to which the educational institutes’ scheduled has been reshuffled would be under control by June as the country’s toll rises to 94 as more cases confirmed in Sindh.
