Two more coronavirus cases confirmed in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Services Dr Zafar Mirza has reported two more positive cases of coronavirus in Pakistan, taking the tally of cases to four.
Addressing a joint press conference alongside Firdous Ashiq Awan, Dr Zafar Mirza said that the government was taking the national disaster management authority (NDMA) onboard to ensure the availability of preventive masks.
Dr. Zafar Mirza said that the coronavirus was indeed a glaring truth that has thus far affected 57 countries across the world, adding that the government has decided to dedicate certain hospitals for coronavirus cases only.
He advised the people of Pakistan not to be panic as both of the previous patients were getting better, adding that one of the patients will be discharged soon. He further said that the government had taken necessary precautions to prevent this deadly disease. 
He said a crucial meeting regarding coronavirus was held in Islamabad. He said the meeting decided to further tighten security at all entry points of airports to identify the patients. 
He further said that the government will release an important advisory about masks and other safety equipment against coronavirus. He urged citizens to call on toll-free number 1166 in case of any emergency regarding coronavirus.
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said a  National Action Plan has been chalked out to cope with coronavirus outbreak in the country.
Awan said the National Action Plan will be put up at the Federal Cabinet’s meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday for approval. She sought media cooperation in raising awareness about coronavirus and its prevention.
She said the federal government has sought reports from all the provincial governments about preventive measures. She urged the opposition to avoid doing politics and be united on the issue of coronavirus.
