I was also effected by the operation against encroachments

My name is Mohammad Akbar and I have been delivering goods in Karachi’s Empress Market for the past 20 years now. I was also effected by the operation against encroachments because of which my daily wage has been reduced to Rs 600 from Rs 1000.

I move goods and products between shops on my shoulders. All the shopkeepers rely on me to bring their goods from their warehouses to their shops. I am the only one who does this in the entire Empress Market.
