The Meteorological Department has forecast that moist winds have entered the upper and central regions of the country, which may intensify over the next two days and bring rainfall to various cities.
According to Meteorological Department, a western weather system is expected to enter the upper areas on June 25 and become more prominent on June 26. From June 25 to 28, intermittent rain, thunderstorms, and wind are likely in Karachi and the upper and southeastern parts of Sindh, including Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Khairpur, Kashmore, Hyderabad, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Jamshoro, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Thatta, and Badin.
From the evening/night of June 24 to July 2, intermittent rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is expected in the Kashmir areas of Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, and Mirpur.
Between June 26 and 29, there are chances of rain and thunderstorms in Gilgit-Baltistan, including Diamer, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, and Shigar.
From June 25 to July 1, intermittent heavy rain with thunderstorms is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Okara, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar, and Mianwali.
From June 26 to 28, rain is also expected in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, D.G. Khan, Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and Layyah.
From June 25 to July 1, heavy to very heavy rain with thunderstorms and strong winds is expected intermittently in Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Bajaur, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Kohat, Bannu, D.I. Khan, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Waziristan, Orakzai, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Hangu, and Kurram.
From the night of June 25 to June 28, rain and thunderstorms with winds are expected in northeastern and southern Balochistan, including Sherani, Musakhel, Loralai, Sibi, Barkhan, Naseerabad, Kalat, Lasbela, Khuzdar, Awaran, Jaffarabad, Dera Bugti, and Kohlu.
