MAKKAH: Thunderstorms and rainfall were reported in the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia, yesterday, as worshippers performed Maghrib prayers at the Grand Mosque amid the rain.
According to a report by an Arab news agency, video clips showed worshippers offering Maghrib prayers and making supplications at the Grand Mosque in a deeply spiritual atmosphere as rain fell.
Reports said that light rainfall in other parts of Makkah caused some roads to become waterlogged. The National Center for Meteorology forecast that the rainfall was likely to continue until the night.
