Another Shock for Power Consumers! How Much More Will You Pay in September?

ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has increased electricity prices across Pakistan under monthly and quarterly adjustments.

According to a Nepra notification, electricity prices have been increased by Rs2.06 per unit under the monthly adjustment for July 2026. The increase will also apply to K-Electric consumers.

The additional amount will be included in electricity bills issued in September, placing an extra burden of more than Rs33 billion on consumers.

Nepra has also approved an increase of Rs0.52 per unit under the quarterly adjustment for April to June 2026. This increase will apply from September to November and will also affect K-Electric consumers.

The quarterly adjustment will place an additional burden of Rs12.67 billion on electricity consumers.
