RAWALPINDI: Relatives of a woman lately died in mysterious circumstances, Hina Javed, have alleged that she was killed by her husband at their home in Rawalpindi two days ago, and have called for the arrest and prosecution of all those responsible.
In a statement dated August 21, the family said Hina was a daughter, sister, friend and a loving wife and mother. They alleged that her husband had not been arrested and was still at large, raising concerns about the handling of the case.
The family also expressed concern that Hina’s father-in-law may be involved in the alleged crime, claiming that he had not been taken into custody for further questioning.
They urged authorities to investigate everyone who may have been involved, concealed information or participated in the alleged killing.
“We demand that he be taken into custody without further delay and that his role be fully investigated,” the family said in the statement.
Appeal to Punjab Authorities
The relatives appealed to Punjab Police and relevant authorities to ensure a complete and transparent investigation, including the collection of forensic evidence, examination of witnesses and scrutiny of the circumstances surrounding Hina’s death. They also called for regular updates to the family and the public, saying that no one should be above the law.
The family described violence against women in the home as a criminal matter rather than a private dispute. They said they would not rest until everyone responsible for Hina’s death was held accountable in accordance with the law.
