KARACHI A four-storey under-construction building collapsed in Karachi’s Lyari Nayaabad area, with no casualties reported.

Union Council Nayaabad Chairman Aslam Memon said the building was old and had remained vacant for approximately a month.

He stated that the builder had been carrying out demolition work at the site when the structure collapsed.

According to Memon, the building opposite the collapsed structure sustained even greater damage.

Debris from the collapse also blocked the entrance to the adjacent building, creating difficulties for residents and those attempting to access the premises.

Authorities have yet to provide further details about the incident or confirm whether an investigation has been launched into the collapse.
