Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has hit back at former TV anchor Moeed Pirzada after his comment about Afridi’s missing pet dog Max.
Afridi said Max was better than Pirzada. He made the remark after Pirzada commented on a social media post about the dog.
“I had only made an appeal for the return of my missing pet, and the community helped. Still, politicising it shows your declining mindset,” Afridi said.
“By the way, Max is a thousand times better than you, because he neither goes to jail by putting up fake thumbs nor flees the country after looting the public’s money,” the former cricketer added further. He followed it with the hashtag ‘Max ghar agya abb tum bhi ajao’.
Pirzada had earlier commented on Afridi’s post after the missing dog was found. “I wish the Missing Persons of Balochistan, Khyber, and Kashmir could return home just like Shahid Afridi’s dog!” he said.
“I wish these Pakistanis’ rights were as valued as Afridi Sahib’s dog!” Pirzada added further. Afridi strongly objected to the comment. He said he had only asked people to help find his missing dog.
He added that people supported his appeal and helped bring Max back. According to Afridi, bringing politics into the matter showed a “declining mindset”.
