K-Electric (KE) has issued its maintenance shutdown schedule for August 18, 2026, under which power supply will be temporarily suspended in various areas of Karachi.
According to K-Electric, the duration of the power outages will vary by feeder, with interruptions scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. Consumers have been advised to make the necessary arrangements in advance.
According to the schedule, affected areas include Abad Builders, Babul Ilm, Bahar Colony, Decent Garden, Ghaniabad RMU, Ghaus Pak Road RMU, Golden Star, Haidari Sweets, Khayyam Town, KE Iqbal Lane, Lyari Fire Brigade, Manzar-e-Jilani, Manzoor Traders, Model Colony A, and several other areas.
In addition, feeders serving Model School, Pahar Ganj, Prem Villas, PS-2, Saheli Colony, Sana Avenue, Sasi Home, Secretary Government CHS, Shahryar Clinic, Sunrise Avenue Phase 7 Extension, Sariti Muslim CHS, Time Square, Tipu Sultan Society, and Zulfiqar Commercial S/SS-03 will also be affected.
K-Electric said the power shutdowns are being carried out to facilitate essential maintenance work and improve the power system.
Consumers have been advised to take the necessary safety precautions regarding electricity during the scheduled outages.
