Pakistan Boxing Federation officials have launched efforts to trace boxer Qudratullah after he reportedly went missing from the team’s hotel hours before the squad was due to fly back from the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
According to reports citing sources within the Pakistan Boxing Federation, the boxer was last seen in his hotel room at around 2am.
The team was scheduled to gather in the hotel lobby at 9am before departing for Pakistan, but when officials checked his room, he was nowhere to be found.
Local media reports said Qudratullah’s passport and return ticket remain in the custody of the team manager, prompting authorities to investigate his disappearance.
This is not the first such incident involving Pakistan’s boxing team. Last year, boxer Zohaib reportedly went missing during an international tour of Italy, while another national boxer had also disappeared during an overseas trip in an earlier incident.
It should be noted Pakistan has had its worst ever Commonwealth Games campaigns, finishing with just one medal.
