Agent Kim Reactivated has officially wrapped on South Korea screens and according to Nielsen Korea, the final episode delivered a nationwide viewership rating of 23.0 percent and 23.4 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area.
The episode’s peak instantaneous rating surged to 27.1 percent, eclipsing the drama’s own prior all-time high.
The finale lands on top of a climb that was almost unprecedented in its speed.
After beginning with a 9.5 percent rating for the first episode, the series moved past 15 percent by its second outing and crossed the 20 percent threshold by its fourth episode. From there, it sustained dominance throughout its schedule, ranking No. 1 in its time slot for 10 consecutive episodes and finishing as the highest-performing miniseries of its run across all channels.
Starring So Ji-sub, Choi Dae-hoon, and Yoon Kyung-ho, the action thriller follows an ordinary father forced to reactivate his deadly black-ops skills after his daughter disappears.
What starts as a desperate rescue mission grows into a high-stakes conflict driven by buried identities, ruthless enemies, and fathers who refuse to back down—an emotional engine powered by the drama’s escalating tension and its insistence on family at the center of every decision.
With the series completed on Netflix after Episode 10 released on July 25, viewers can now watch the entire story back-to-back, including the explosive action and dark humor that helped build its devoted following.
Earlier episodes also demonstrated how intensively audiences were staying invested, with Episode 9 previously reaching a 23.2 percent momentary peak and averaging 21.5 percent nationwide, while pushing above the 20 percent mark for a sixth consecutive episode ahead of the finale.
Even as the main story concludes, the final sequence is generating fresh discussion. Fans are buzzing over an extra scene included in the finale, with many interpreting it as a potential tease for what could come next. No official confirmation has been made, but the ending leaves enough open questions to keep viewers hoping that “Manager Kim” may not be done yet.
Supporters point to the original manhwa’s remaining material as another reason to believe the creative team could have more room to continue the story, particularly in light of the drama’s overwhelming South Korean performance and its global traction on Netflix.
