A speeding ambulance hit and injured a female pedestrian on New M.A. Jinnah Road in Karachi. Police have arrested the driver responsible for the accident، as reported by national media.
According to a report, the woman sustained serious injuries due to the ambulance collision. Edhi spokesperson stated that the ambulance was transporting a critically ill patient to the hospital in an emergency when the woman suddenly came in front of it, resulting in the accident.
Authorities identified the injured woman as Gul Bano, who works as a housemaid. Due to her critical condition, she was immediately shifted to the hospital. Police confirmed that the ambulance driver, identified as Muhammad Ali, has been arrested. Police further stated that the investigation is ongoing, and no additional details have emerged regarding the incident.
It is worth noting that several fatal road accidents occurred across the country during Eid, resulting in the deaths of 20 people, while many others sustained injuries in various accidents.
In Qambar Shahdadkot, Mirpur Sakro, and Hafizabad, motorcycle accidents claimed the lives of eight more people. In Tando Allahyar, a speeding vehicle plunged into Nasir Canal, causing the deaths of four young men.
