The process of dismantling the bunkers of the warring parties under the Kohat peace agreement is in full swing in Kurram district and so far 183 bunkers have been demolished.
According to the district administration, the bunkers in Lower Kurram and Upper Kurram are being demolished so that lasting peace can be ensured in the area.
According to the district administration, 117 bunkers have been demolished so far in the Balashkhel and Khar Kali areas of Lower Kurram, while 66 bunkers have been demolished in Pewar and Tri Mangal villages of Upper Kurram. In total, 183 bunkers have been demolished in Kurram district so far.
The Deputy Commissioner of Kurram district has clarified that the full implementation of the peace agreement will be ensured and all the bunkers within the district will be demolished so that lasting stability can be maintained in the area.
On the other hand, preparations have been completed for the departure of the convoy from Tehsil Tall to Kurram. According to Deputy Commissioner Gohar Zaman Wazir, the convoy includes more than 129 freight vehicles loaded with food items.
DC Gohar Zaman Wazir says that initially a convoy of 40 vehicles has been sent towards Kurram, while travel facilities are also being provided to the needy people through helicopters.
According to the district administration, strict measures have been taken for the security of the convoy to avoid any untoward incident on the way.
