Over 200 people hospitalized after food poisoning at Lahore wedding

More than 200 wedding guests were hospitalized after consuming unhygienic food at a wedding ceremony that was held in Raiwind, Lahore. Media reported on Wednesday.

As per the report, the incident occurred at The Hallmark Marquee located at Shanu Roundabout. It was booked by a citizen for a wedding ceremony and invited more than 360 guests to attend the event.

After having food, as many as 200 people became unconscious due to food poisoning and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital.

Host Sarfraz said that nine guests were later shifted to General Hospital after their condition turned serious and 27 guests were admitted to Indus Hospital in Raiwind.

About 10 guests were taken to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Kasur while 31 guests were shifted to government and private hospitals in Narowal.
