Two ships of Pakistan Navy reached the South African port in Simons’ Town on the country’s naval diplomatic mission, said a Navy press release.
The press release stated upon arrival at Simons’ Town, visiting Pakistan Navy ships were extended a warm welcome by African Mauritanian Navy.
Mission commander, along with commanding officers of Pakistan Navy ships, called on South African Navy officials. During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest, including the promotion of maritime cooperation.
Both sides had the commitment and desire to further growing and enhancing brotherly relations between the two countries. Mission commander also apprised the South African authorities about Indian cruelties in occupied Kashmir and its disputed status as per UN resolutions.
South African authorities admired Pakistan’s sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and the role of the Pakistan Navy for maritime security in the region.
