A CIA inspector, along with five other officers, has been penalized for fabricating adultery charges against a married couple.
The incident has sparked a major response, leading to the immediate suspension of the implicated officers. The authorities have also launched a thorough departmental inquiry to scrutinize the actions of these officials.
This situation unfolded when CIA Inspector Majid Iqbal, assigned to the Saddar Division, orchestrated a raid on a local hotel. Accompanied by five officers, Inspector Iqbal falsely accused a married couple staying at the hotel of adultery, a serious charge that later proved to be baseless.
In response to this misconduct, DIG CIA Imran Kishwar took decisive action. The investigation revealed gross negligence and unprofessional behavior on the part of Inspector Majid Iqbal and the involved officers, leading to their suspension. Furthermore, an immediate and comprehensive inquiry has been ordered by SP South to delve deeper into the incident and ensure accountability.
