Renowned Pakistani wrestler and national champion Inam Butt from Gujranwala has confidently asserted that he can substantially enhance the fitness of national cricketer Azam Khan within a three-month period.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan has been persistently criticized for his fitness levels. Responding to this, Pakistan’s acclaimed wrestler Inam Butt has offered his assistance to help Azam improve his physical condition.
During an interview with a private TV channel, Inam Butt declared, “If Azam Khan trains for three months at the Gujranwala wrestling arena, we will ensure he becomes fully fit.”
Butt elaborated that after three months of rigorous and dedicated training, Azam Khan would not only improve his fitness but also excel in power-hitting, thereby enhancing his overall batting performance.
He also emphasized that Azam Khan would be required to undergo intense training sessions for 5 to 6 hours daily at the wrestling arena. This regimen, according to Butt, would result in a significant weight loss of 30 to 35 kilograms.
In addition to the demanding training schedule, the national wrestler assured that Azam Khan would be provided with a nutritious diet plan to help maintain his strength and energy levels throughout the training period.
Inam Butt’s offer highlights his confidence in traditional wrestling training methods to elevate the fitness standards of athletes from other sports, showcasing the potential benefits of cross-training and interdisciplinary fitness programs.
