ISLAMABAD: Chinese Foreign Minister Chen Gong will pay a two-day visit to Pakistan today.
According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, this is the first visit of the Chinese Foreign Minister to Pakistan after taking office. He will arrive in Islamabad on May 5 and 6. He is making this visit at the invitation of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Chen Gong will arrive in Islamabad after attending the meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the Indian city of Goa on May 5 and will lead the Chinese delegation in the strategic dialogue with Pakistan on May 6.

The Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue will be held under the joint leadership of Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers in Islamabad where bilateral relations, regional and global issues will be discussed in all fields.
The two sides will endorse the sustainable term of the Seasonal Strategic Cooperative Partnership. A road map will be developed for multi-faceted cooperation between Pakistan and China.
It should be noted that the third round of the Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue was held in Chengdu, China in July 2021.
