Five K-dramas to watch next on Netflix if you enjoyed ‘The Glory’

South Korea is best at producing predictably hopeless romantic drama series, however recently, things have radically changed.

These days, revenge K-dramas are now enjoying domestic and, thanks to Netflix, overseas popularity.

‘The Glory’ is the latest example of such drama. In the series, a woman who was brutally abused by her rich cruel classmates dedicates her life to exacting revenge against those who bullied her.

The drama became an instant hit with both parts streaming on Netflix. So, if you liked and watched a revenge tale like ‘The Glory’, what revenge dramas might be next on the watch list? Let’s find out:

1) Vincenzo

Vincezo is no doubt one of the most anticipated Korean dramas of 2021. Thanks to its unique storyline, amazing OSTs, and the undeniable chemistry between the two leads; Song Joong Ki and Jeon Yeo Been.

Vincenzo became a hit across Asia due to its global release through Netflix. in this series, Vincenzo Cassano, played by Song Joong Ki is a lawyer with an elegant appearance who is also a mafia consigliere who believes in ‘eye and for an eye’ proverb.

2) Taxi Driver

Taxi Driver revenge arrives in the form of a taxi driven by the character Kim Do-ki. The driver, played by Lee Je-hoon, is ready to get revenge for victims and help criminals get the punishment they deserve. The drama’s first season aired in 2021 and the second season aired in 2023.

3) Mine

‘Mine’ is a 2021 South Korean television series directed by Lee Na-jung, and starring Lee Bo-young, Kim Seo-hyung, Lee Hyun-wook, and Ok Ja-yeon.

The story revolves around strong women who free themselves from the prejudices of society to find their true ‘mine’. The series is streaming on Netflix.

4) My Name

My Name is 2021 series featuring Han So-hee as Ji-woo, a tough girl, whose life is dramatically changed when her father is murdered.

Driven to revenge, she joins the gang of a crime boss who knew her father and wants to learn how to fight to kill and then goes undercover as a police officer to find the killer. To get revenge she must fight more than a few bloody battles. 

5) Itaewon Class

A story of revenge, Itaewon Class is a 2020 series that focuses Park Saeroyi, played endearingly by Park Seo-joon who achieves justice for the injustice that was done to him and eventually makes those enemies bow to him.

He gets revenge against the system that says he dares not dream. Even better, he fulfills his 15-year-revenge plan while staying true to his principles and never becomes bitter or cruel.
