ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will announce the reserved verdict of Special Advisor to the PM on Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan in the contempt of court cases today.
The verdict was reserved earlier on 14th November against Firdous Ashiq Awan and Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan.
During the last hearing, both accused submitted their unconditional written apologies in the court.

Chief Justice of IHC Athar Minallah remarked that the statement of cabinet members on under-hearing cases comes under contempt of court.
Subsequently, the court served show-cause notices to the special assistant and the federal minister and adjourned the hearing till today.
On 29th October, Awan held a press conference where she remarked that the IHC’s decision an open a floodgate of similar requests by prisoners suffering from various diseases.
