Law for rich and poor

There is a famous saying that the law is blind which does not differentiate between the rich and the poor but gives judgment on the basis of evidence and facts. But in Pakistan the situation is different.

It is also said that the hands of the law are very long and add to it that these long hands catch the criminals quickly, but in the new era, a new addition of settlement with the accused has emerged before presenting them to the courts.

In ancient times, whatever the king decreed, was the law and in one such example, a poor man lived in a dilapidated house with rotten walls. One day the walls fell down, so the poor man took a loan to cover his head and started rebuilding the walls.

After the walls were built, the man got tired and decided to sleep and spread the sack and fell asleep. At night, a thief tried to climb the roof, and the tots placed on the walls in the name of the roof burst and the thief fell on the poor man.

The thief complained to the king that the poor man had built a weak roof through which he fell, possibly breaking his leg. The king said that there will be justice and it will definitely happen. The poor man was called and King asked what the thief is saying, is it true?

The poor man said that the thief had fallen over him, his legs were not broken, then what is the complaint about? the King got angry and sentenced him to death. The poor man said that the thief should be hanged, but the king did not agree.

The poor man felt that the blame should be placed on someone else. He said that the fault lies with the worker who laid thatch instead of the roof, if the weak thatch had not been laid, the problem would not have occurred. The king issued a decree to arrest the laborer.

When the laborer was arrested and hanged, he said that the tot maker’s fault is his fault.

Consider, the situation in our beloved country is no different. Police officers, judges, lawyers and politicians all agree on not providing justice to the people because since last 75 years justice has not been available to the people.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said that the nations before you were destroyed because when the weak committed a crime, they punished him, and when the strong committed a crime, he was forgiven.

The rod of Allah is silent. It is necessary that the system of justice and justice should be implemented in real sense in Pakistan so that even the weak can get justice alongside the strong.
