HAFIZABAD: Punjab Police have arrested PMLN’s District Vice President Rai Qamar for threatening to shoot former prime minister and Chairman PTI Imran Khan during a public gathering last night.
Rai Qamar, addressing PMLN workers in Hafizabad, was heard rebutting Imran Khan’s allegations on Shehbaz Sharif for alleged involvement in assassination attempt on Imran Khan. He went on to say that if his party leadership ordered, he would himself go and shoot Imran Khan. Senior PMLN leaders including Saira Afzal Tarar and Ata Tarar were also present on the stage when the threatening speech was delivered.

Taking serious notice of the threats, Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi ordered unbiased legal action against PMLN’s District Vice President Rai Qamar. He ordered police to book Rai Qamar for threatening to kill Imran Khan, adding that no one could be allowed to take law into hands.
The Punjab Chief Minister, meanwhile, summoned report from IG Police on the issue.
