Need for institutional reforms

75 years to the establishment of Pakistan have been completed on August 14 this year, but despite of this various institutions including the judiciary, bureaucracy and others are still not functioning properly.

Sometimes the Judiciary, sometimes the Election Commission of Pakistan and sometimes politicians hear such statements that make one sit and hold their head as to what is the actual function of any institution in Pakistan.

If the Chief Justice of the country takes suo motu action on well-known cases and ignores the issue of giving real justice to the people, what would you say? If the Supreme Court is busy hearing political cases related to Shahbaz Sharif and Imran Khan, who will provide justice to a common citizen of the country?

On October 20 this month, a 3-member bench of the Election Commission headed by the Chief Election Commissioner heard the case against Imran Khan for violating the code of conduct. The Chief Election Commissioner said that where is it in the constitution that a person can be a member of the National Assembly and contest the election for the same position? Bring 150 resignations of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf members we will accept them here.

If the Chief Justice of the country takes suo motu action on well-known cases and ignores the issue of giving real justice to the people, what would you say? If the Supreme Court is busy hearing political cases related to Shahbaz Sharif and Imran Khan, who will provide justice to a common citizen of the country?

An interesting question arises if the Election Commission had not given permission, then how could Imran Khan, who was already a member of the National Assembly in the opinion of the Chief Election Commissioner, contest the election from 7 constituencies simultaneously as a candidate? As for the resignations of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf members, how many members of PTI have refused to resign and how many are still sticking to them?

PTI has accused the same election commission of rigging in constituency NA 237 and two police officials including the SHO of Malir City, who has been suspended for poor security arrangements during the by-elections in Karachi. PTI Karachi President Bilal Ghaffar was injured as a result of an attack in the constituency.

It is necessary that the authorities of all the institutions of the country, including the Election Commission, Judiciary and Police, should sit together and hold their officers and officials accountable that they have fulfilled their responsibilities in the work entrusted to them to serve the people. are fulfilling the limit. For institutional reforms, more or less every institution in Pakistan will have to work immensely, maybe then somewhere there will be some form of justice for the people who are deprived of basic human rights in the country.
