Famous American singer Bruno Mars has announced that his album ‘Silk Sonic’ would not be submitted for 2023 Grammy Awards Consideration.
In the latest development, Silk Sonic’s Bruno Mars and Anderson have withdrawn their album from Grammy Awards consideration after one year of scooping up an impressive four awards at the 2022 ceremony.
Bruno, who formed the musical super duo with Anderson, in 2021, announced that the pair’s only album, ‘An Evening With Silk Sonic’, would not be submitted for a nomination at the 2023 awards.
Here’s why
The musical artist said that they made the decision not to put the album forward for this year’s ceremony, because they felt as though they would ‘be crazy to ask for anything more’ than they had already received at the 2022 Grammys where they won four awards for the album’s lead track, Leave the Door Open.

Bruno and Anderson’s hit track won the coveted Record of the Year trophy – and the album that it is now featured on was a favorite to win Album of the Year in 2023. However, Bruno insisted that the duo feels as though they ‘won the moment the world responded to Leave the Door Open’, adding that ‘everything else was just icing on the cake’.
