For a few years, we have been seeing the leaders telling the people that “we are honest while others are thieves, others have burdened the country with debts, while we will get you out of these debts and will end poverty, we will bring a better future for the coming generations.”
But now the statements that are seen in the background, which surfaced by various audio, video leaks, prove that politicians did less work for economic growth and progress and did more work for their own political and party’s gains. For their own interest the politician widen the polarization among the people and as a result the masses and economic condition worsen.
Did any political figure create an economic model for Pakistan’s economy? Is there an economic plan? Based on which he can claim that the economy of Pakistan will improve in the coming days? They make only promises and promises do not improve and develop any economy, to improve the economy of Pakistan, the first thing to do is to improve the treasury of Pakistan, to improve the treasury of Pakistan supply of money to the common people will have to make possible.
Money in Pakistan seems to be distributed only among certain elites and politicians, due to which the same family businessmen and the same family politicians have been prominent for the last 70 years, and to benefit them, political economists are hired. Till the date no one has spoken or did anything for reducing electricity prices in the country. Electricity prices have always seemed to be high and power plants have always created a power crisis in the country, so that the people of Pakistan remain busy talking about electricity supply rather about its prices.
When people talk about electricity supply, prices are increased and when they talk about price hikes, electricity crisis is created. To improve the economy, the game on tariffs will have to be stopped. Secondly Pakistan’s problem is water supply, every year monsoon comes in Pakistan, snow falls in mountainous areas, glaciers melt, but it is sad to say that till date we have not properly distributed water, nor have we done any work for the water reservoirs.
The dams that were built from 1960 to 1970 are still working for Pakistan, if we work to provide water properly and reserves it in the true sense, then the fertile land of Pakistan can grow many fruits and vegetables that Pakistanis need. Foods at a low cost to the public will meet the shortage, and at the same time huge amount of money can be earned for the economy through exports.
Thirdly, our problem is education of children, government schools were destroyed so that people pay arbitrary fees of private schools. Education has become expensive to the extent that every person spends a big portion of his income on it, but still he does not get quality education, quality education means that the people of Pakistan will be literate in the future, there will be educated labors. These workers will be beneficial not only for Pakistan, but also for foreign countries. When they will get jobs in foreign countries, it will increase the exchequer of Pakistan due to remittances from abroad.
In the same pile of problems, another biggest problem is human health. Pharmaceutical companies in Pakistan are mostly from international countries, due to which the prices of medicines are very high. If pharmaceutical companies are created at the government level the prices of medicines can be reduced and reducing the cost of medicines will reduce the cost of human health. Instead of improving government hospitals, we have given huge sums of money to insurance companies, so that people can get free treatment.
But in fact it is not free, the money that the government is giving to the insurance companies and hospitals is being taken from the taxes of our own people, but a political narrative is being given that the poor are being given free treatment. Billions of rupees are taken from national exchequer for this purpose, while on the other hand the same amount is receiving from public by increasing taxes on from milk cartons to the price of petrol. The fact is that whatever the government do on the name of public relief, do with the help of taxes receiving from the same people, but lauds his political party for this. I want you to find such leaders in Pakistan who make such business policies that benefit the people in general, and not the specific political and business class.
