KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar has said that he had effectively raised voice for Karachi’s problems.
While talking to a reporter, Waseem Akhtar hinted at moving to court due to the alleged financial constraints being faced by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).
Waseem Akhtar claimed that the KMC was facing financial problems and vowed to knock the doors of the court in this context.
The mayor said, “I’m not silent, nobody has raised voice for problems being faced by people of Karachi more effectively than me.”
Replying to a query about the privatization of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KW&SB), the mayor said that no such decision was made yet.
Earlier, he had said that the KMC should have the authority that it used to possess in the past.
