Legendary Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar has called former captain Virat Kohli like Pakistani batsman Javed Miandad.
According to Indian media reports, Sunil Gavaskar, while talking about Virat Kohli’s Test career, said that Virat Kohli is a batsman just like Javed Miandad.
The match against Sri Lanka in Mohali is the former Indian captain’s 100th Test match, for which the Indian board paid tribute to him. A video of Sunil Gavaskar was released on the official Twitter account of the Indian Cricket Board on the completion of Virat Kohli’s 100th Test match.
In the video, the legendary Indian cricketer reviewed Virat Kohli’s Test cricket journey and shared his thoughts on it. Sunil Gavaskar praised Virat Kohli’s Test career so far, citing his brilliant performances and Javed Miandad-like behavior on the ground.
He said that Kohli is one of the successful batsmen who knows how to provoke the opposing fast bowler while staying within his limits so that he can show excellent performances against him. Sunil Gavaskar said that this was the attitude of Pakistani legend Better Javed Miandad against the bowler at the ground.

Sunil Gavaskar said that Virat made extraordinary progress during his career and became the 12th Indian player to play 100 Test matches.
He added that playing 100 Test matches means that you have been successful in cricket, the feeling of playing century Test matches for the country is memorable.
